My HostGator Review

I am using HostGator from long time. This is my first and only paid host. I didn’t use any other paid host yet. I have used some hosting form forum who gave space for posting on their forums. I used to do that when I had no money to buy host, but now I have money to by my own server.

The only problem with Hostgator is that they are really big over sellers. They says that they 600GB of web space. Experts know what they mean to say this but many noobs don’t know about overselling. They host too many web sites at same server. I am hosting this blog on HostGator and there are 762 other sites on this server. If 1 site get mad and use lot of CPU resources then all sites on servers wil be down.

But the best thing is that they know how to manage their server. I have opened to many support tickets and got profession answer and solution for every question. They have limited use of maximum 50,000 nods for every user. Nods is a Linux things, if you make a file or a folder then it will count as nod.

Overall I have no problem with hostgator. Many people says that its not good host, I advise them to use it then decide that it’s good or not.
