My Domain Name Business – Part 3 – Short Term Domaining

Posted by Armaan 24 May, 2008

Domain name Domaining is a long term business but I do it in short term. I started domain name business some days ago. Normally people buy future domain that will make them profit in future. They buy short or keyword domains because short domain price is increasing all time and keyword domain will worth more in future.
I didn’t have thousands of dollars so I can start buying short domains so I thought something else. Then I started doing short term domaining. I have earning good money form this and this month it more then my all income.
This time Google is most used search engine and its Page Rank is very important to webmasters, many people created web directory or similar thing from high PR domains so they can earn good money form them. I bought some good PR domains then sold them to people who are looking them. The biggest different is in this that I don’t need short domain or keyword in domain, the only thing I need is PageRank in domain name.
Its not easy to find good PR domain on cheap price, but once you start you will get used to it. these day many people making fake PR from redirecting domain name to other good PR names. Please check them before buying. Do not keep domain yourself because Google updates PR every 3 months so chances than you loss your domain PR, and as that domain has no keyword or anything it will be useless and its hard to sell these domains for registration fees.
I am still doing domaining but I am busy these days. Profit is good so I will start here some competion soon. Hope everyone will take part in it.
If you have any question then left a comment, I will try my best to answer you.

Nice post. I actually snatched up a PR6 domain for cheap recently. I found it on a free Godaddy domaining tool. Checked the credentials and bought it for $15. It doesn’t have backlinks but it is about 2years old. After, buying it. I checked on dnscoop and found it’s worth roughly $340 by itself now.

Now, I’m trying to decide if I should keep on developing it or do a quick sell. $325 for a $15 domain investment is not a bad margin, right?

BTW, where do you find willing buyers for the domains with PR? Just in case, I decide to sell my PR6 domain quick.

Thanks.

The Best place to sell PR domain is DigitalPoint forum.
You can also try DNforum or namepros but DigitlPoint is best for PR domains.

Its dropped domain so it has chances to loss PR on next upldate.
I advise to sell it as soon as possible. Or make a bidding directory on it. Its just $25 investment for buying a bidding script and you can make around $500 before next update that will be by the end of next month or starting of august.
