Most awaited vBulletin 3.7 ‘Gold’ released

Yesterday vBulletin 3.7 ‘Gold’ was released. I was waiting for this version from long time. I saw beta version and RC version of this and now finally the Gold release is here.

I have a fourm on it, sorry can’t give URL its secret. I will now upgrade it to vB 3.7 and get a new theme for it. I have not installed any mod on forum. will add some mod to give more features to users. I want to buy vBSEO but it cost more then vB license. Will try to buy it soon as it will give back more money in some months.

Normally gold release also got some bugs but when compare to other releases it will get very few bugs. They released beta versions then RC versions so it more stable then others and chances of woking better then before. I am going to take my hand inside this after this post.

Google PR update Q2 2008

Google updated PageRank yesterday. Most of webmasters were waiting for this moment from some months , can’t say all webmaster because these days many webmasters are not interested in pagerank and they say that its useless. No matter what they say, I am directory owner and PR is most important thing for me, traffic is other part but not so important for me this time.

My blog Webmaster Zone got PR2, it was PR1 before. I was expecting at least PR3 for this blog. My 2 directories ( 1 paid and 1 bidding) that were PR0 not gained to PR2. May be I will make more money with these directories. I have a free directory that was PR1 and now PR2. 3-4 PR1 sites are still PR1.

My one PR3 review blog dropped to PR2 and banned from Google search result for doing paid reviews and selling links. The biggest changes in my site were 2 under construction site www.sujangarh.net and www.mysujangarh.com Its now PR4. I didn’t promoted this site, just added links on my other sites and at forums signature. I did lot of link building for Webmaster Zone but it still PR2.

As of this thread at DigitalPoint Google PR Q2 update snapshot was 16/17 march. Means that current PR update depends on how much backlinks you have on that day.

This update was bad for some people but its great for me. Now I am going to give hand to my directories and earn some money to buy a new laptop next month.

This time update was simple, sites having more outgoing link got bad PR and sites that had few outgoing links got good PR. Like my 2 sites got PR4 where I just did some backlinks and my blog that I advertise at many places but because it has lot of out going links at both sidebar and blogposts that I made.

WordPress 2.5.1 security fix and many bug fixes.

WordPress released this security fix 2 days ago. I was not at home from 3 days so updated my blog just 10 minutes ago. Its now very easy to upgrade wordpress using WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin. There are many new features in this new version. Just started using it.

This is a important update of all wordpress users. It has a big security fix and lot of bug fix. You can see all features here. Every new release comes with new features and lot of fixes so now its easy and fun to see the latest version. Now I don’t check new versions on my PC. I do direct upgrade to my blog. I take weekly backup on this blog as its not so active blog. I will try to post some usefull tutorial and guides on next days. Currently learning many things form inside world of orkut. There is so much fun of using javascript and discovering what we can do that normal people can’t.

Difference between Targeted and Untargeted Traffic

Traffic is important for any websites. If you have good PageRank or Good technorati rank at your blog but no traffic then it will not benifit you unless you sell some paid links but its against search engines to sell links. If you have no PR and very low technorati but still have good traffic then you can earn good money form ads.

Targeted Traffic is visitors who are really intrested in your site’s content or they want from your site what they are looking for like if some one wants wallpaper and he comes to your wallpaper site then it targeted traffic.
The best way to get targeted traffic is Search Engines and Pay Per Click ads. From search engines people who search and come to your site to get something and at PPC visitors only click on your ads and come to your site if they are interested, if they are not interested then they neither click on PPC ads nor search at Search Engines. SEO can help you to get better SERP and it will increase your targeted traffic.

Untargeted Traffic is visitors who are not intrested in your content. They need diffrent thing then you have in your site like a webmaster blog is useless for a person who is looking for his favorite actress wallpapers. If can improve Alexa ranks and also earn you some bucks from ads but its useless for your site and waste of bandwidth and resources.
Its easy to get untargeted traffic, you can get it for free from many ways. Stumble gives you lot of traffic, its a mix of both targeted and untargeted traffic. If you get frontpage at Digg then you are going to have lot of untargeted traffic. Most of times buying traffic from GPT site is also comes in this category because visitors visit your site for money, they are not intrested in your content.

So if traffic is main thing for you then get any type of traffic but if you really care about your site and want to get full of your content try to get targeted traffic for your wesites. The best thing is you don’t need to spend single buck for it, you can get it for free just need some hard work.
